Lilies On The Land

Based on one hundred and fifty letters and interviews with original Land Girls, along with songs from the period, this nostalgic drama is a revealing, funny and moving portrait of some of Britain’s pluckiest unsung heroes. A lovely assembly of stories and memories from the period, when the idealistic views some girls hold are met by the reality of early hours, rough hands and backbreaking work on joining the Land Army.
