Preston Arts Association is an affiliation of local groups, organisations and individuals who are interested in amateur and voluntary arts.

Why not join us and become a member from only £10 per year. More information.

Our main activities are:

Compiling, printing and distributing Preston Arts News three times a year.

Organizing and producing the annual Preston Arts Festival.

Providing a forum for discussion and arts development.

Grant Aid

The Preston City Council Small Arts Grant scheme has been suspended as no moneys are available.

Coronavirus

Most people will be aware that the coronavirus has closed most venues until further notice and introduced social distancing measures. These necessary steps mean that many of our scheduled events have to be cancelled or postponed. Consequently events advertised here, on individual member websites and in our newsletter are affected.

The next newsletter is due in September (deadline for contributions, 31st July). Please continue to send contributions (to me, email address at top of next column) as we hope there might be some normality restored by then. If we are still locked down in August/September we might well produce a newsletter anyway, even if we can only sensibly upload it to the website. We are likely to be be short of a diary, but that needn't prevent us from keeping in touch and enjoying a few stories and photos of recent or planned events.

Meantime, good wishes to everyone and keep safe.

Vince Smith
